Last year, on December 11, 2016, one of Chilton’s very own students decided for his birthday to give to children who aren’t as fortunate. Nico Nielson, a seventh grade student here, has had a tradition for the past three years to donate toys to the Foster Youth of Sacramento. Nielson’s birthday party consisted of a flag football tournament at the park behind Chilton and each guest brought a toy to distribute later to foster children. Nico invited 25 adults and 53 kids. The flag football tournament consisted of four fields and six games. There were about seven people on each team. The championship game had Nico Nielson’s team and Nick Primavera’s team, with the winning team getting bragging rights and satisfaction. We really appreciated seeing such a great event for an amazing cause!
