I recently got a finger jam and I really hurt for a while. What happened was I was playing basketball. I was trying to get a pass that was directed to me so I could hold the ball and let my teammates readjust, but when I tried to grab the ball it was a little higher than I thought. The ball hit right on the tip of my finger. I didn’t think much of it during the first game but in the second game I got the ball then someone hit it out of my hand. It really hurt, so I sat out of bounds and the other team was fair and another person had a swollen finger. Afterwards a teacher came over and told me to go get some ice, which I did, then changed out of PE Clothes.
At lunch I text my grandma asking her for her medical expertise because I was worried that had broken my right pointer finger. I wasn’t feeling it for some reason. So after our conversation she concluded that I had jammed my finger and should put an ice bag on the finger multiple times a day and try my best not to bend it.
